[edit] Restoring and iPod

Image:IPod Restore.jpg Completely lost? Need to start fresh on a new computer? Have a Mac formatted iPod that needs to sync on Windows (or vice versa)?

  1. Connect your iPod to your computer, and then in iTunes, select your iPod in the Source pane.
  2. Click the Summary tab, and click Restore to restore iPod to its original settings. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the restore process.

(Important: Please note that restoring an iPod will erase all songs and files on your iPod and restore it back to its original settings. Sync your iPod before restoring it. After restoring, you can sync your computer back to your iPod again.)
