Education folks are on a fiscal year budget planning cycle. Beginning July 1, 2006 and ending June 1, 2007. Carry this communication plan out up through the 2007 Future Technologies Conference focusing on the budgeting timelines and deadlines of our target audiences.

[edit] Goal Statements

Our goal is to communicate the new WiscNet Digital Districts Online. "Working together to expand educational options."

WiscNet Digital Districts Online will promote:

  • Expanding educational options for students in their home district
  • Access to quality content vetted by Wisconsin educators
  • Leveraging resources of the community and achieving economies of scale
  • Sharing knowledge and expertise in the areas of policy, practice and content
  • Expanding professional development options for district staff

How this will be accomplished:

  • Communicate with each above audience a minimum of 3 times in a combination of print, electronic and verbal. We will create 2 print, 2 electronic, and schedule some verbal, face-to-face communication and conference presentations.
  • Produce a flyer/brochure that communicates the above goals and use some visuals
  • Emailings to target audiences
  • Email signatures on WiscNet staff highlighting this new service
  • Webpage with supporting information and documentation
  • Face-to-Face meetings and/or phone conversations with …
  • Present at conferences across the state focusing on previously stated target audiences (WEMA, WASB, AWSA, WASDA, WASCD, WiscNet FTC, DPI meetings)
  • Publish scenarios & press releases of successful integration of DDO
  • Tech support team informs callers using information from a short script

  • Support for coordinating and carrying out the print mailing
  • Funds for flyer/brochure design and printing, mailing
  • Support from Kika and team to carryout phone conversations about rates
  • Creation of webpage with supporting information/documentation
  • Staff to write newsletter and other articles for newsletter, mailings and scripts.
